The Extron CVEQ1 AAP and CVEQ1 WM are one input, one output, composite video and stereo audio line drivers with variable video gain and equalization capability. Both models are designed to compensate for signal attenuation and high frequency loss encountered during a long cable run. The gain adjustment compensates for signal level losses, while the peaking/equalization adjustment compensates for high frequency loss. The CVEQ1 AAP and CVEQ1 WM provide active audio buffering with a choice of balanced or unbalanced outputs.

When an application involves multiple composite video signals being run a variety of distances, individual signal adjustments are required to deliver signals of equivalent signal strength to each display. These types of applications require a separate equalizer for each signal. The CVEQ1 AAP and CVEQ1 WM drive video signals through up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) of RG6/SHR-1 coaxial cable.

The CVEQ1 AAP is a stand-alone AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate. For discreet architectural integration, the CVEQ1 AAP is wall- or furniture-mountable, and the standard faceplate may be easily replaced by a custom faceplate. As an alternative to wall-mounting configuration, the CVEQ1 WM is a one-gang wall plate version of the CVEQ1 AAP. The CVEQ1 WM requires a 2-inch deep electrical box.
